I am currently an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Özyeğin University in Türkiye, where I direct the Child and Family Research Lab. My research focuses on children’s cognitive development, particularly in the areas of language acquisition, self-regulation, and attention. I investigate how these cognitive processes are shaped by social and environmental factors, including parent-child interactions, socioeconomic conditions, and screen media use.
I hold a B.S. in Computer Engineering and an M.A. in Cognitive Science from Boğaziçi University. I earned my Ph.D. in Psychology from Koç University, where I conducted research in the Language and Communication Development Lab.
